CATEGORIES OF MEMBERS
Members of the
Chamber shall be classified as follows:
(1) ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP:
Any firm, company or institution or organization which is registered with Government of Nepal and his industrial, commercial, economic dealings as well as professional relations with India together with the field of services with an annual gross turn over exceeding Rs. 5 million. Provided that such gross turn over must be authenticated by an Auditor of grade ‘A’.
(2) CO -
MEMBERSHIP :
(a) Any firm, company or institution or organization with an annual gross turn over exceeding Rs. 5 million provided that such gross turn over is authenticated by an Auditor of grade ‘A’, which is registered with the Government of India and has industrial, commercial or economic dealings as well as professional relations with Nepal including the field of services.
(b) The representative or representative office, branch office based in Nepal of any industrial, commercial institution or organization or a company of Indian nationality dealing together with the field of services, provided that such company based in India must have an annual gross turn over exceeding Rs. 5 million. Such gross turn over must be authenticated by an Auditor of grade 'A'.
(c) The Co- members mentioned in sub clause (a) and (b) above shall not be entitled to vote and or be elected or nominated as office bearers of the Chamber.
(3) HONORARY
MEMBERS :
(a) Any individual, company, institution or organization who has rendered or capable of rendering noteworthy contributions in the industrial commercial relations and economic co-operation between Nepal and India together with the field of services may be granted an honorary membership of the Chamber through a decision of the Executive Board.
(b) The Honorary Members mentioned in clause 7.3 (a) above shall not be entitled to vote and or be elected as office bearers of the Chamber. But this restriction shall not be applicable to be nominated to the post the Chamber nominated the President or the Executive Committee.
(4) ASSOCIATE
MEMBERSHIP :
(a) The Executive Board may, if it so deems appropriate, grant associate membership to Nepal based various industrial, commercial, economic as well as service industry and other institutions or organizations capable of rendering assistance and contributions in the fulfillment of the objectives of this Chamber.
(b) Any firm, company or institution or organization with an annual gross turn over exceeding Rs. 5 million provided that such gross turn over is authenticated by Authorized Auditor which is registered with the Tax Office or Internal Revenue Department to do business within the Kingdom of Nepal are eligible to be the Associate Member of the Chamber. The right for any alteration in the above mentioned transaction figure is reserved by the Executive Committee. *
(c) The associate- member mentioned in 7.4 (a) shall not be elected in any office bearer of the Chamber. But this restriction shall not be applicable to be nominated to the post the Chamber nominated the President or the Executive Committee.
(5) Minimum age limit of the person representative willing for any form of membership of the Chamber mentioned in the Clause 1, 2 and 4 and the Honorary Membership as mentioned in the clause 3 above must complete 16 years. |
