NICCI bids farewell to vice president Rayavaram

KATHMANDU: Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) has bid farewell to its vice president Ravi Rayavaram organizing a program at the NICCI Secretariat.

Rayavaram, the managing director of Surya Nepal – a ITC subsidiary company – has been vice president of NICCI since last year. But with his promotion and transfer to Kolkata, he has been replaced by Gaurav Tayal.

The executive committee members of NICCI bidding farewell at the Secretariat wished him success in his new role. “I felt like in my home,” Rayavaram said, as a departing note.

NICCI President Sunil KC, on the occasion, handing over the token of love and letter of appreciation to him, said that Rayavaram’s contribution to NICCI and Nepal’s economy as a leader of one of the key Indian Joint Venture Surya Nepal, has been remarkable. “We will cherish his memories.”

NICCI executive member Sashi Kant Agrawal, on the occasion, wished Rayavaram for his new role and said hopeful of welcoming him back to Nepal even in bigger role in future. “We wish to see Rayavaram in a bigger role back in Nepal in future,” the founding executive member of the NICCI added.

Indian Business Forum (IBF) under the NICCI Co-chair Saibal Gosh also thanked Rayavaram for his active role in NICCI and also for his contribution to in bilateral trade and economy.

Likewise, NICCI vice president Kunal Kayal, other executive members including National Insurance Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Navneet Gupta, Uttam Lama thanked Rayavaram for his untiring dedication and contribution.

The newly appointed managing director of Surya Nepal Gaurav Tayal also spoke on the occasion, and thanked Rayavaram and NICCI for all the support.
