The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 11,149.47 points, higher than its 11,134.99 points close on Thursday. After about 10 minutes of trading, it was at 11,168.56 points, 0.3 percent or 33.57 points higher than its previous close. Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 3,427.2 points, 0.1 percent higher than its previous close. The BSE midcap index was up 0.74 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was ruling 0.85 percent higher than its previous close. (IANS)
