The session will examine how the rapid adoption of AI, cloud technologies, and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats is changing the risk landscape for businesses and financial institutions, particularly in Nepal.
Key areas of discussion will include:
● Emerging cybersecurity risks associated with AI adoption and cloud dependency
● Shadow AI and the risks of using unapproved AI tools within organizations
● AI-enabled attacks, insider risks, third-party risks, and cloud security challenges
● Visibility and governance of AI systems, data flows, cloud services, and third-party access
● Practical application of ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST CSF 2.0, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework
● Board-level accountability, AI inventories, risk-tiering, monitoring, incident response, and least-privilege access
● A practical 90-day action plan to establish AI visibility, assess cloud security, and build a measurable cyber-maturity baseline
The session will be led by Mr. Niranjan Kunwar, CTO, Genese Solution, who brings extensive international experience in information security, security strategy, architecture, and technology assurance. Prior to joining Genese Solution, he served as Senior Director of Information Security at Vontier and Global Head of Application and Infrastructure Assurance at Invesco, following senior security and technology roles with organizations including McAfee, Polycom, Mimecast, Reliance Globalcom, and others.
