The exploding Apple iPod bomb news.

The Apple iPod Touch received the dubious name of an 'exploding bomb' when it literally exploded in a teenagers pant in a school in Kentucky, forcing the mother to file a lawsuit claiming damages against the company. The 16-gigabyte Apple iPod Touch exploded on a 15-year old, identified only as A.V, in his pant pocket while sitting in his class that made his pocket to catch fire. It melted through his nylon/Spandex underwear and burned his leg. The boy soon realized that his Apple iPod Touch had exploded like a bomb as it made a loud popping sound and instantaneously ran to the bathroom and with a help from his classmate, took off his burning pants. The boy suffered second-degree burns to his leg and incurred $15.00 in medical and hospital expenses. The mother of the boy, Lynette Antrobus had purchased the Apple iPod Touch from a store in Ohio for her son and has now filed a complaint in the Ohio Southern District Court, Cincinnati against Apple and ten employees of the local Apple store in Ohio. In her complaint she says that her son continues to suffer from both mental and physical conditions which will cause him to suffer pain, mental distress, emotional distress, and otherwise for the rest of his life. She is seeking $75,000 in punitive damages, $75,000 in legal fees, and $75 in special damages for the incident. Lynette Antrobus's lawyer said that the main of the lawsuit, was to make sure that Apple takes remedial measures to solve and fix the problem so that no one else is hurt in the future. The only logical explanation for the device exploding is a faulty battery, which Apple cannot disclaim that the battery has been interchanged with a cheap imitation as the Apple iPod Touch can only work with the original Apple battery and is not replaceable by the user.
